REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:

Saturday- Breeze started out Northeast at 8-10 knots. Shifted North

and built slightly to 12 knots. Rotations went smoothly in the shadow of

Stanford's new boathouse. The Race Committee (Stanford Coed sailors,

Lead by Ass't Coach Brent Harill) got off 10 A races and 8 B's before

callin it quits at 6pm. Courses were Wd/Lwd with downwind finishes. Three

protests resulted in two DSQ's (thanks to chief judge Tyler Doyle).

Sunday- A nail-biter all day... First, uncharacteristic light air

swirled around the basin, causing a postponement until 11. When races started,

ties between teams were the norm... Breeze built into the afternoon. After

the last B races UCI, UCSB and Cal were tied for second! B 13-14 were

shifty & puffy, with UCI's B(Maxam/Hemberger)pulled it off with a set of 3,1.

Big congrats to UH for their consistency in the varied conditions. Courses

Were Wd/Lwd and Triangle Wd. One protest was filed, but dropped. Thanks to

Sally Madsen & Heather Porter for judging!
