HALL OF FAME

This trophy, donated anonymously through the University of California at Irvine to PCIYRA in 1966, shall be awarded to the college sailing team winning the annual PCCSC Sloop Match Racing Championship.  Its purpose shall be to foster sloop match racing competition among eligible member institutions in the Western United States and serve as a qualifier for the Intercollegiate Sailing Association Sloop Match Racing Championship.

This regatta shall be open to Regular and Provisional Member institutions of the PCCSC and other ICSA Conferences by invitation.  When scheduling a qualifier is not feasible a Selection Committee appointed by the PCCSC Executive Committee and consisting of the Conference Commissioner, the Graduate Vice President and the Competition Committee Representative shall review the qualifications of each team to insure its capability to handle the boats in a safe and seaman-like manner.  The Selection Committee may reject the applications of member schools and its decisions shall be final.  In case of a limitation in the number of boats, the most qualified teams shall be invited and the Selection Committee may reject otherwise qualified, but less able teams.  Qualifications shall be determined by written descriptions of the experience of each member of the teams as submitted to the Selection Committee.

This shall be a perpetual trophy and it will be engraved annually with the name of the winning team.  It shall remain on display as designated by the PCCSC.  If the PCCSC should cease to exist ownership of the trophy shall revert back to UCI.
