The PCCSC Regatta Schedule will be published for the calendar year on or before January 1st of that year. Teams looking to schedule in-conference events shall visit the PCCSC Live Schedule available on the PCCSC website to indicate their desire to attend each event.
In-Conference Scheduling Ranking
Teams desiring to schedule events are encouraged to do so as soon as practicable in the schedule for both Fall and Spring.
Scheduling Deadline
The deadline for adding in-conference events is Friday at midnight two weeks prior to the start of that event.
Teams desiring to add an event inside of the two-week window shall only do so with approval of the host.
To add events within the two-week deadline, schools shall email the host school and Conference Commissioner.
In the event that a NOR is not posted by a host at least 14 days in advance, the deadline for adding an in-conference event will be 48 hours after the NOR is posted.
Withdrawal Deadline for Conference Events
Teams desiring for withdraw from a PCCSC event that they have already scheduled shall do so at their earliest convenience by updating the PCCSC Live Schedule.
The deadline for withdrawal from Conference Major events is Friday at midnight two weeks prior to the start of that event.
Conference Major events include: Conference Championships (Women’s Fall PCCs, Coed PCCs), Nationals Qualifiers (Team Race, Women’s, Open, Match Race, and Singlehandeds) and In-conference intersectionals (Rose Bowl, Stoney Burke, St. Francis Invite, McIntyre Team Race, Peter Wenner Memorial), and Top 9 and Top 6 Regattas.
The deadline for withdrawal from conference minor events is Friday at midnight one week prior to the start of that event.
Conference Minor Events are all PCCSC Conference Events that are not Conference Major events.
In the event that a NOR is not posted by a host at least one week in advance, the deadline for withdrawal from a minor event will be 24 hours after the NOR is posted.
In-conference No-Show Penalties
Teams that no-show a Conference Major event or that fail to withdraw from a major event prior to the deadline will not be able to travel to out-of-conference regatta for the calendar year following the no-show.
Teams that no-show a Conference Major event will receive a 2-point penalty added to their scheduling ranking associated with the type of event no-showed.
Teams that no-show a Conference Major event will be charged $200 due to the PCCSC and shall pay any financial obligations to the host school (including entry fees and charter fees).
Teams that no-show a Conference Minor event shall pay any financial obligations to the host school (including entry fees and charter fees).
The Conference Commissioner or Conference Intersectional Coordinator will provide the intersectional schedule to the conference as soon as practicable following the Fall Coed PCCs.
After completion of the Fall PCCs and Women’s Fall PCCs, the Conference Commissioner will publish the ranking and scheduling order for the conference. Out-of-conference rankings will be determine by the following methods:
Women’s Events
(Finish in Prior Year Spring Women’s Qualifier) + (Finish in Fall Women’s PCCs) = Total Points
Teams are ranked from lowest total points to highest, ties are broken via finish in Fall PCCs.
Team Racing Events
(Finish in Prior Year Team Race Qualifier) = Total Points
Teams are ranked from lowest total points to highest.
Coed Fleet Race Events
(Finish in Prior Year Spring Coed Qualifier) + (Finish in Fall Coed PCCs 2-div) = Total Points
Teams are ranked from lowest point total to highest, ties are broken via finish in Fall Coed PCCs 2-Div.
Out-of-Conference scheduling will be done on a full calendar year basis; teams will schedule both spring and fall events with the same draft.
Teams will return their interconference regatta selections for women’s and coed to the conference commissioner and scheduler by the date specified.
Berths still available following the draft are available to all Full and Associate member teams of the conference on a first-come, first-served basis.
Fees:
Teams will pay a fee for each Interconference event scheduled, as specified by the ICSA and PCCSC. These fees are reflected in the PCCSC Fall and Spring Bills.
Withdrawing from a Scheduled Out-of-Conference Event
The deadline for dropping an out-of-conference or interconference event is one month prior to the start of that event.
Out-of-Conference No-Show Penalties
Teams who drop after the deadline or who fail to attend the event will not be eligible to schedule out-of-conference or intersectional for the following year.
Teams who drop after the deadline or who fail to attend the event will forfeit their intersectional deposit with the PCCSC. They may not attend another interconference event until that deposit is replenished.
