2026 MAISA Awards


At the conclusion of racing for the America Trophy at St. Mary’s College of Maryland on Sunday, April 19th, the MAISA Awards committee presented the following awards honoring all the great racing of our student-athletes throughout the year.

Women’s All-MAISA Skippers were presented on the 12th of April at the conclusion of the MAISA Women’s Team Race at Georgetown in Washington, DC. Congratulations to all the recipients!

Coach of the Year is awarded at the conclusion of the America Trophy Conference Championship. This award will be given annually to the Coach that demonstrates their ability to passionately lead their team. Exceeding the team expectations & conference championship success should be considered.

MAISA Purrington Award is to be given to the graduating senior from MAISA each year who has made outstanding contributions to college sailing through their efforts, not only by competing, but in the promotion of the sport, by fostering sportsmanship between teams, maintaining the quality of competition, and contributing to the overall performance of our conference.
