NEISA Sailors of the Week, Fall 2022, Weekend 4


***Unangst, Farrell, and Glander are the NEISA Open Sailors of the Week***

New London, CT - 10/2/22 - The Coast Guard Academy's Daniel Unangst '24, Jack Farrell '23 and Jonathan Glander '24 are the NEISA Open Sailors of the Week after a standout performance at home. The Bears won a competitive A-division at the Danmark Trophy, winning 4 straight races in a row and finishing in the top 5 in 11 of the 14 races sailed. Their performance helped to secure a second place finish for the team! 

***McCarthy and Young are the NEISA Women's Sailors of the Week***

Providence, RI - 10/2/22 - The Brown Bear's Blaire McCarthy '23 and Savannah Young '25 are the NEISA Women's Sailors of the Week. With Women's ACC Qualifiers being held at Brown and on the River by BC, there was a ton of competitive sailing going on in NEISA. McCarthy and Young were standouts across both events, averaging just a 2.8 across 10 races. The duo won five of those races and only finished outside of the top five once.

Harvard won WACC R1A hosted by BC

Yale won WACC R1B at Brown

Congratulations to the following NEISA Women's team for qualifying for ACC Finals: Yale, Harvard, MIT, BC, Coast Guard, URI, Brown, Dartmouth, Bowdoin and Tufts. 

Brown won the Danmark Trophy at CGA

Yale won the Moody Trophy at URI

Northeastern won the SHU Trophy at Sacred Heart

Brown won the George Warren Smith Trophy at MIT 

Brown won the Lark Invite at Tufts
