NEISA Sailors of the Week, Fall 2022, Weekend 6


King's Point, NY - 10/16/22 - This week's Women's Sailors of the Week are the Atlantic Coast Champions and A-division winners: Carmen Cowles '25, Catherine Webb '23, and Helena Ware '23 from Yale University. The bulldogs sailed an incredibly consistent regatta in one of the most competitive fleets of the fall season. With only nine races sailed they only finished outside of the top five once and won the division by 27 points ahead of second. Congrats to Yale for the Women's ACC's win!

New London, CT - 10/16/22 – The Brown Bears’ Liam O’Keefe ’26, Hunter Zonnenberg ’23, Hannah Sellers ’26 and Thomas Styron ’24 are the Open Sailors of the Week after winning the NEISA Match Race Championship at Coast Guard Academy this weekend. Eight NEISA teams competed for the Conference Championship and the automatic berth to the National Championship that comes with it. In the quarterfinals, the bears defeated Boston College 2-1. They met Tufts in the semis and went 2-1 again to move into the finals. In the final round they paired up against the reigning champs, Yale, who they went on to defeat 2-1 and established a new NEISA Champion.
