NEISA Sailors of the Week, Weekend 1, Fall 2018


***Gearon and Pline are the NEISA Coed Sailors of the Week***

New Haven, CT—9/12/18-Robby Gearon ’19 and Lexi Pline ‘19 are the NEISA Coed Sailors of the Week for winning A Division at the Harry H. Anderson Jr. Regatta hosted by Yale University. Gearon and Pline placed in the top 3 in 10 out of 16 races and led Boston University to a 2nd place finish.

***Haig, Caso, and McGoldrick are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week***

Boston, MA—9/12/18-Emily Haig ’21, Sarah Caso ’19, and Brooke McGoldrick ‘20 are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week after winning A-division at the Toni Deutsch ’58 Regatta hosted by MIT. The trio from MIT won seven of the thirteen races, winning their division by twenty-nine points. Haig, Caso, and McGoldrick led the MIT Engineers to a first-place overall finish.

Around the Conference

Maine Maritime Academy hosted the PBO and Harmon Cup, which Bowdoin and Boston College won respectively. Brown University won a tiebreaker against Yale University at the 76th Pine Trophy hosted by Coast Guard. Harvard won the Tufts University Invitational, while Roger Williams placed first at the Mt. Hope Bay Invite.
