***Anderson and Anderson are the NEISA Sailors of the Week***
Annapolis, MD—3/20/18-Martim Anderson ’18 and Rebecca Anderson ’18 anchored the Roger Williams team racing squad to an impressive victory at the 2018 Graham Hall intersectional team race regatta, hosted by the Naval Academy. The Hawks finished the regatta with a 17-3 record, besting runner up Hobart College, Yale University, Georgetown University and the defending national champions from the College of Charleston. The duo from Roger Williams consistently started well and did a great job of staying out in front and avoiding trouble. Roger Williams has won the Bavier, Rudkin, and Graham Hall Team Race so far this spring.
***Reineke and McGrath are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week***
St. Mary’s City, MD—3/20/18- Sophia Reineke ’21 and Lily McGrath ’18 won B division at the hotly contested 2018 St Mary’s Women’s Intersectional regatta. Reineke and McGrath showed poise, besting rival College of Charleston in the final two b-division races, and narrowly clinched the overall victory.
Around the Conference
Roger Williams won the Graham Hall with Yale finishing third. BC won the St. Mary’s Women’s Regatta with Brown finishing third. Harvard won the Southern New England Team Race. BU won the Ike Geiger Team Race. Connecticut College won the Vietor Trophy, and Mass Maritime won the Central 1.
