Warwick, RI—10/03/18-Javier De urdanibia panos ’21 and Katherine Bertolini ’21 are the NEISA Coed Sailors of the Week for placing first in A-division at the Moody Trophy at University of Rhode Island. The Terriers placed first in A-division winning 3 of 9 races helping their team win the Moody Trophy.
***Haig ’21 and Caso ‘19 are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week***
St. Mary’s City, MD-10/03/18-Emily Haig and Sarah Caso ’19 are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week after winning B-division at the first ever Showcase Semi Final Championship at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. The two Engineers placed in the top seven in every race in very tricky conditions on Horseshoe Bend. On the last beat of the last race Haig and Caso passed the Yale Bulldogs to break the tie and earn their hard fought runner up team finish.
Around the Conference
NEISA teams claimed 5 of the 9 Qualifying spots at the Jen Harris Womens’s Semi Final held at the US naval Academy as well as 4 of the 9 spots at the St Mary’s Women’s Semi Finals. UVM won the Loder Trophy at U. New Hampshire and Tufts won the Smith Trophy at MIT
