*** Agerup and Mooradian are the NEISA Co-ed Sailors of the Week***
New London, CT – 10/19-10/20/19 – Maya Agerup ’20 and Grace Mooradian ’21 of Boston University are the NEISA Coed Sailors of the Week after winning B-division at the Co-ed Showcase Championship Finals, hosted by Connecticut College. The duo propelled the Terriers with a remarkably consistent scoreline to an impressive first place finish overall, in an incredibly tight and competitive field and in some very tricky wind and current conditions. Stanford and Harvard placed second and third respectively.
***Klingler and Webb are the NEISA Women Sailors of the Week***
New Haven, CT – 10/19-10/20/19 – Christine Klingler ’20 and Catherine Webb ‘22 of Yale University are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week after winning A-division at Yale Women’s interconference regatta. The pair from Yale earned first place in a very competitive A-division fleet with consistent scores across a wide range of conditions. In particular, their dominance in Saturday afternoon’s fifteen knot southwesterly proved to be the deciding factor in leading their team to overall victory. Brown University and Dartmouth College rounded out the top three.
Around the District
URI won the Showcase Tournament hosted by Salve Regina in their brand new fleet of Larks. Tulane and Roger Williams rounded out the top three.
Tufts claimed the three division Oberg Trophy, hosted by Northeastern. UVM and BU placed second and third.
UVM bested a 13 team Fairfield Cup with Salve Regina and Yale coming in second and third place.
