Providence, RI - 9/18/22 - This week both our Open and Women's NEISA sailors of the week are the the singlehanded conference champions. The Brown Bear Leyton Borcherding '25 won the Monotype Trophy at his home venue in a competitive field with some tight racing. He sailed consistently, finishing in the top five in eight of the 12 races sailed and averaged a 5 to win the regatta by one point and secured an automatic berth the the National Championship in November at ODU.
The Harvard Crimson's Sophia Montgomery '25 is our NEISA Women's Singlehanded champion and this week's Sailor of the Week. The sophomore finished in first or second in eight of the ten races sailed and solidified her berth to the National Championship in November.

Yale won the Hatch Brown at MIT.
Yale won the Regis Trophy at Harvard.
Roger Williams won the Yale z420 and FJ Regattas at Yale.
Boston University won the NEISA Fundamental Symposium at Tufts.
Bowdoin won the Barnett Trophy at Bowdoin.
Coast Guard came in second at the Shields Trophy hosted by Navy.
