Sailors of the Week, Weekend 3, Fall 2015

***Kiss/Roberston are named the NEISA CO-ED SAILORS OF THE WEEK***

Cambridge, MA—9/20/15 - Yale’s Joseph “Mitchell” Kiss ‘17 and Clara Roberston ‘17 are the NEISA Sailors of the week for winning B Division at the Hatch Brown Trophy at MIT over the weekend. The Charles River, MIT’s home waters which are notorious for its shifting winds, proved classically difficult with breeze blowing from nearly every direction. Kiss/Robertson's consistent performance throughout the weekend earned them the low point finish for the regatta and helped Yale claim the overall victory for the second year in a row.  The duo posted only one finish outside the top eight and boasted four first place finishes over the 14 races sailed.

***Paz/Ogle are named the NEISA WOMENS SAILORS OF THE WEEK***

New London, CT—9/20/15 - Mary “Mimi” Paz ‘17 and Martinque Ogle ‘17 of Bowdoin College are the NEISA Women Sailors of the Week after they won B Division at the Stu Nelson Trophy hosted by Connecticut College. At the first major interconference regatta of the women’s racing schedule, Paz and Ogle showed incredible poise during the mostly light air regatta posting nothing worse than a sixth over the weekend’s 12 races. Their low point finish launched the Bowdoin Bears to a second place finish overall behind the Coast Guard Academy.
